Ready to start exercising after giving birth? PT Sim Farrington takes you through what you need to know before getting back into the gym.

Exercise after pregnancy can be difficult and confusing. It can feel like you’re starting from scratch… so be kind to yourself. Your body has gone through a huge change, and it may need time to heal. It’s OK to not exercise if you need more time.

In this video, Sim, who is 30 weeks pregnant as well as post-natal trained, guides you through the first steps of exercise after pregnancy.

Please remember, you should always let your midwife or doctor know that you plan to start exercising and get the go-ahead from them too.
