After moving to the United States from Canada with a running scholarship, Amanda was closing in on the Beijing Olympics for the 10,000m when she suffered a career-ending leg injury. Told by doctors she’d never run again, she was determined to recover and continue pursuing her passion for fitness. After two years of intense rehabilitation, she was winning triathlons. Cassey is a pilates and fitness instructor, a YouTube fitness sensation and the creator of POP Pilates, a fusion of pilates moves blended with upbeat music for a fun and challenging workout. She graduated with a degree in biology but decided not to pursue her parents predestined path for her in medicine. While in school, she started teaching pilates at a small studio.
